W ostatnich dniach zawitała prawdziwa zima. W mojej okolicy jest średnio - 5 stopni Celsjusza, co na tę porę roku nie jest wielkim mrozem. Spadła też cienka warstwa śniegu. Niestety pojawiło się inne groźne dla roślin zjawisko - gołoledź.
In the couple last days a real winter has arrived. In my area there is an average - 5 degrees Celsius, which is not a great frost at this time of year. We have also thin layer of snow. Unfortunately, there is other phenomenon dangerous for plants - black ice.
Wszystko, co rośnie pokryte jest warstwą lodu. Gałęzie są bardzo obciążone i trzeszczą przy najmniejszym podmuchu wiatru. Lód przylegający do gleby i roślin może powodować ich zamieranie wskutek izolacji od atmosfery oraz mechanicznego uszkodzenia części nadziemnych. Rośliny obumarłe pod wpływem gołoledzi mają na wiosnę barwę szarożółtą. Odporność na gołoledź łączy się na ogół z odpornością na mróz.
