Sierpień w ogrodzie minął pod znakiem roślin jednorocznych. Mam trochę przypadkową 'międzynarodową" rabatę z dzwonkami irlandzkimi, werbeną patagońską, koprem włoskim i rącznikiem. Wszystkie rośliny ładnie wyrosły z nasion.

Werbena patagońska rośnie w moim ogrodzie kolejny rok. Pierwsze nasiona wysiałam w marcu 2013 roku. Miałam kilka doniczek, 3 paczki nasion i mnóstwo siewek, których nie zdążyłam rozsadzić. W pierwszym sezonie było tylko kilka dorosłych roślin. Werbena rozsiewa się sama w dużych ilościach. Jednak siewki wschodzą dopiero w połowie czerwca. Warto je rozsadzić lub usunąć nadmiar, bo w dużym zagęszczeniu rośliny są mniejsze. Werbeny patagońskie zostawiam na zimę i usuwam dopiero wiosną. Jest to roślina "bezobsługowa", u mnie rośnie zarówno w dużym słońcu, gdzie nie jest podlewana jak i w cieniu.
Argentinian vervain is growing in my garden another year. First seeds I grew in march 2013. I had a couple flowerpots, three packages of seeds and many seedlings which I wasn't able to seat on time. In first season it was a few grown-up plants. Argentinian vervain is self sow flower and it gives a lot of seedlings. In Poland it is sprout in the middle of June. It is better to remove the excess of seedlings. I leave the vervains for winter and remove on spring. The plant is simply to grow and it has no particular demands..
W sierpniu zakwitł także guzikowiec zachodni. Na wiosnę koniecznie trzeba przyciąć krzewy gdyż roślina kwitnie na pędach jednorocznych.
August is also the time of blooming the buttonbush. In spring it should be cut.
